Birthday Bash

Last night my family celebrated Simeon, our Lhasa Apso dog's birthday. He turned 2 this year, according to his papers. We weren't exactly sure of the date but we've decided that he's final birth date will be on the 24th, which is today. We celebrated it last night because my sister's schedule did not permit her to celebrate it with us today. It's like a children's party filled with balloons, party hats, and of course, chicken and cake.

 Simeon's candle is a singing candle! When you light it up, it sings happy birthday. 

Thank you Goldilocks for making Black Velvet cakes! Lol.

Our maid's prepping him for his birthday, and oh boy I'm telling you he did not like it..at first. He was scared of the balloons and he thinks the party hat is the "cone of shame". Check out his frown. 

You see, this dog loves the camera. He wasn't even afraid of the candle, basta lang makita niya yung camera, POSE! Push! Hahaha! Gotta love this dog. He ended up happy though, after eating his chicken, of course.

We told Simeon to blow his candle, but since we still wanted to eat that cake, I'd rather do it myself. Dogs aren't allowed to eat chocolates by the way. He just had to have a cake. 

Happy Birthday, our little miracle! You came along when Lassie died, and from then on when I sold my PSP just to get (believe me I had to give up Tekken for this kid right here, sad) you, I promised I will never treat you like you were never a part of this loving family. Mom loved you from day one, she's just cautious cause she didn't like a dog in the house. Due to our perseverance to fight for you and a side of guilt from Lassie's demise, you were allowed to stay in the house for two years and counting! The house has never been this happy, it's like we all await to see this darling baby boy so we can play with you. You are loved, Simeon. I know you don't understand this but we'll do the best we can to make you feel loved! Thank you for making us happy. Happy Birthday again, Simeon! :)
